Lensmaster Snaz had a dilemma. He wanted to buy a new camera. He had $700.00 to work with. But how do you sort through the noise and the hype to find tried and true recommendations?
"When I research an item I'm interested in purchasing, like you, I turn to the on-line communities," he says. "I read and read, and then read some more. I scour the forums, news groups, and manufactures web sites for information and reviews about the item in question. I seek out the best bang for the buck. Brand loyalty plays a part in this decision process, but overall has only minimal influence on the final purchase decision. I follow this procedure whenever I make a major purchase, including when I bought my first (and current) digital camera in 2005. I did research on Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, Lumix, and others...."
What did he end up with? The Lumix DMC-FZ30. And here is his incredible review lens all about the camera, his research, various parts for sale and more.

What did you buy recently, after a lot of research, that you can recommend this wholeheartedly?
