Library 2.0 Reading List

Library 2.0?

But we were just getting a handle on Web 2.0! Mission Impossible 2.0! (Excuse me, 3.0).

Do a Technorati search on this hot topic and you'll quickly get swept away in a wave of postings and comments from librarians and educators and techies alike.

Then, along comes the "Library 2.0 Reading List" lens from Jenny Levine & Michael Stephens. Ahh. Finally. Definitions. Recommended links. The blogs worth reading. A place to start. All from some smart insider folks who really know their stuff.

Here's what I learned: "Library 2.0 has provided a framework within which we've been able to re-evaluate virtually every aspect of classical librarianship with the end goal of usability and findability
in mind."

"Library 2.0 = (books 'n stuff + people + radical trust) x participation."

Thanks, Jenny and Michael, for making sense of the noise.
