Most people associate Mardi Gras with New Orleans, for good reason. But the season, and the fesitval, leading to the beginning of Lent, are celebrated around the world. Some of the most interesting, and family-friendly, celebrations can be found in small towns and cities all along the Gulf Coast. Making a thread crochet miniature bears can be a very enjoyable and fun hobby. Remember how you loved to make clothes for your dolls and teddy bears when you learned to crochet as a kid? Many of us learned to crochet when we where kids and have crocheted ever since. Making little crocheted teddy bears can be just as much, if not more, enjoyable. There are bears in just about every shape and color you could ever imagine. These bears are jointed. They can move their heads and limbs and pose in many ways. They can be made out of any thread or very thin yarns.
